Summertime. Oh, to be free again to do as we please! A simple walk (or hug!) with you sounds like a complete dream right now. When we chose the theme FREEDOM for this summer issue we had no idea that it would follow a three month virus pandemic or stay at home order. This summer season will bring more light and hope than ever before. There will naturally be some hesitation as we shorten the distance between one another again but when it comes to Jesus - his arms are always open wide to draw us closer to himself.

In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
— Ephesians 3:12

Our summer magazine is printed and and will find its way to homes this June. We have put extra care into this issue to make it even better and bigger! Take a closer look and order below to have it in hand on the patio or while enjoying a break in the sun this season!

Time is fleeting. Before we know it one season fades into another. A quarterly publication allows women to read our content in a slower paced atmosphere. We are committed to solid content inspired by God’s Word that will be valuable of your time.

Instead of having to click online to access each individual part of our content you will find it at a flip of the page in your hands. Our devotional articles, Bible studies, interviews, Q&A, Hymn/Art studies, and photography will all be in one place for you to take in and refer back to.

We are delighted to create this resource with other women to dwell on God’s grace in our lives and impact generations for His glory!

Slinging Stones | Bible Study by Michelle Zak and Amanda Rose
As children, didn’t we all enjoy skipping stones on the water? There’s a pure, profound satisfaction that comes from finding a perfectly smooth, flat stone to send flying across the undisturbed surface. And of course so much of that stone’s journey depends on the proper technique. Just the right angle could send that stone racing and happily hopping above the water. You could trust as a kid that enough time and experience (and luck) would result in at least a few good throws.

But would you trust that even the most immaculate stone and perfect throw could bring down a giant? That’s exactly what David trusted would happen in his fight against Goliath. God sent him into battle with nothing but a few stones, a slingshot and his assurance that he was on David’s side. For David that was enough, and really shouldn’t that be enough for all of us? Even when a problem in our life turns into a giant, God promises that he’ll give us everything we need to face it head on with him by our side.

Navigate King David’s battles and some of our own (Insecurity, Fear, Anger, Shame, Control) found in God’s Word! In this 5-week Bible study, we will read other supportive sections in the Bible, remember God’s promises, write the word out, and apply it to our lives today! Even when a problem in our life turns into a giant, God promises that he’ll give us everything we need to face it head on with him by our side.

So, what is your "Goliath"?

What has been taunting you, mocking and belittling your faith, attacking your very being

Let's throw some stones at it, shall we?

MEET KATHRYN AND JUSTIN GOEDE, the founders of CHOSEN GEN and this issue’s CHATTER THAT MATTERS interview! Chosen Gen is fighting for the next generation by encouraging and equipping parents to pass on their faith to their children through discipleship. The fight for young people is a spiritual battle and Kathryn and Justin believe that success won't be found in mad-made solutions. Chosen Gen teaches that victories will be won when we rise up in the strength of God and follow his battle plan found in the Bible. We had the opportunity to ask Kathryn more about this important ministry.

In addition, we discuss topics such as: the fight for the next generation, what impacted Kathryn as a teen and young adult, what inspired Justin to leave his steady full-time job, what it is like working together as a couple and homeschooling, and their recent Discipleship Parenting Foundations book for families. Take a closer look at their book and podcast!

Find the CHATTER THAT MATTERS INTERVIEW and SO MUCH MORE in our FREEDOM MAGAZINE this summer!
