As autumn draws near, I think we can all agree, it looks and feels quite different than we expected. There have been so many unprecedented challenges that have faced our world and personal lives this year. Perhaps you hoped that by now most things would have returned to “normal” too? We may not have a date for when this (or any fill in the blank trial) will end - if at all - but we can certainly trust that God isn’t allowing it in vain. By His grace we can adapt. By His grace we are transformed.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
— 2 Corinthians 4:7-9

Consider this! In what ways has 2020 tested and transformed you? Drawn you closer to our Lord? This magazine issue will take a closer look at the work the Holy Spirit does in the lives of believers. We are molded by His will and purposes. What greater place to be than in the hands of our Creator?

Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
— Isaiah 64:8
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
— Romans 12:2
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being TRANSFORMED into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
— 2 Corinthians 3:18

Our autumn issue is printed and and will find its way to homes this September. The depth of writing reflects where our contributors have been wrestling the last six months and how it has refined them. As you hold the issue in hand we pray that the writers ignite hope for the future and encourage that you are never alone.

Time is fleeting. Before we know it one season fades into another. A quarterly publication allows women to read our content in a slower paced atmosphere. We are committed to solid content inspired by God’s Word that will be valuable of your time.

Instead of having to click online to access each individual part of our content you will find it at a flip of the page in your hands. Our devotional articles, Bible studies, interviews, Q&A, and photography will all be in one place for you to take in and refer back to.

We are delighted to create this resource with other women to dwell on God’s grace in our lives and impact generations for His glory!

Do You Feel Guilty? | 4-Week Bible Study by Sue Fink and Ashley Evans

While watering flowers in my yard I think, “I should visit my parents.” When at their house my thoughts accuse, “You could be making meals for our unemployed neighbor.” At the close of a hurried day, I often ponder a woulda-coulda-shoulda list of regrets.

Do you wrestle with “shoulds” in your life?

Genuine guilt serves a holy purpose. A God-given conscience rebukes spiritual apathy. As we compare our              shortcomings to the perfection of Christ, guilt reveals our desperate need for forgiveness. Through Scripture and by faith, the Holy Spirit graciously empowers his children to discover guilt’s cure.

But what about the “guilt” that comes from sources other than Scripture?

Sometimes guilt stems from false beliefs, or misapplication of God’s law and Gospel grace. Salvation via human effort, or by works, produces hopelessness. This fuels debilitating shame and distorts the blessings our Savior provides for this life and the next.

Join us in God’s Word as we read, write, apply and reflect on:

  • GUILT OVER COMPARISON

  • GUILT OVER STRAINED RELATIONSHIPS

  • GUILT OVER BALANCING YOUR NEEDS AND HELPING OTHERS

  • GUILT OVER CHOICES MADE

Sometimes, without provocation, I slip into false guilt as easily as a comfortable robe. I have missed (or messed up) so many opportunities!

If I can’t forgive myself, why would the Almighty forgive me?

Dare I attempt to do the Lord’s will when all my motives are tainted?

Satan smiles as I doubt my gifts and status as God’s child. Thankfully, a part of a memorized passage or a perfectly-timed devotion will break through my dark moods and the Word revives my soul.
