As a grown man standing before the Sanhedrin, he was spit on, beaten, and taunted without so much as a word, and then ultimately sacrificed to death. That is mild!
Our Savior set aside all his power and all his authority to lay down his life for us lowly sinners. What an
undeserved and unbelievable gift and what an incredible example for us!
As the staleness and stir-craziness of winter sets in and you’re feeling the opposite of meek and mild, move your attention to your surroundings. Take in the peace that is all around you. And remember God’s amazing gift.

The tale that inspired the Christmas Carol Gentle Jesus; Meek and Mild by Charles Wesley reminds us that the age of the believer does not limit the size of their faith. Throughout the gospels, Jesus speaks strongly about children. He urges that children are blessings that should be valued, protected, and discipled. Even our omnipotent Savior humbled himself to be an infant and rescue us. May we never lose our inner child faith— humble and sincere!
