Just Be

“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

Just be ...

Be present. God has put people in your life who love you and need you. Be the one to direct
their gaze heavenward when they stumble. Be the one to share God’s promises and everlasting
love.

Be humble. God’s will be done, not ours. Be the one who gives glory to God amid triumphs and
failures because He is worthy of our praise, always.

Be content. Accept where God has chosen to put you and find a way to serve Him in it. Be the
one who lets her light shine in any circumstance.

Be faithful. Trust in God above all others and put your hope in Him. Pray consistently. Study His
Word. Strengthen your faith. Show others the grace that God has shown you.

Just be still and let God be God. Embrace the peace that passivity can bring. Be a follower of
Christ and take His lead.

Dear Lord,
Save us from our own sinful pride when we try to rip control of our lives from your hands. Lead
us back to you and back to the cross when we put other priorities ahead of our relationship with
you. Help us to be faithful to you and to the roles that you have entrusted to us on this earth.
Grant us wisdom and grace as we walk through this life while keeping our eyes focused on the
life that is to come.
Amen.
