Call for Winter 2020 Magazine Submissions
Our winter magazine issue, MAKE ROOM, is underway! Even though the issue will not arrive to homes until December, we are accepting submissions, viewing photography, and collaborating with other Christian women behind the scenes right now. Since our successful Kickstarter one year ago (thank you, readers!) we have loved linking arms with more women to create solid faith-filled content that speaks directly to hearts throughout the seasons of the year.
This issue will take a closer look at making room for Jesus in our lives. Even though 2020 has been a year of uncertainty, stress, and disappointment our tested faith can be full of Jesus’ glory, grace, and truth!
As the hymn sings,
“Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.”
“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’”
The Holy Hen House quarterly magazine is an invitation for women to take a step back from online noise (or any kind!) and dwell in the pages of our seasonal publication inspired by God’s Word. We look to include writing from women in all ages and stages of life. This encourages mentorship, interest, and variety in our issues. There is much to learn and appreciate from each other!
In each issue you will find devotional writing, a Bible study, inspirational photography, poetry, Write the Word journaling, interviews, Bible passages, HHH Community Q&A, and a custom Illustration to color or even frame!
Are you a writer, photographer, artist, or creative?
We accept magazine submissions all year long for any given season. However, in order to be considered for the winter 2020 issue, entries must be received by October 1, 2020. Please consider our submission guide!
Also, an absolutely essential part of our magazine moving forward is the Holy Hen House Magazine Contributor Group! It is born from our desire to form better relationships and communication with our magazine contributors and creatives.
The HHH Magazine Contributor Group is a private group on Facebook where we share requests for upcoming issues, writing tips, deadlines, answer questions, and encourage one another in whatever creative gifts we have for God’s glory!
