Our values make up the foundation from which we can grow.

1 | WE VALUE JESUS - first and foremost our homes and ministry are built upon Jesus - our Rock and Redeemer.

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall,
because it had its foundation on the rock.
— Matthew 7:23-25

2 | WE VALUE GOD'S WORD - it is in the Bible that we find the way, the truth, and the life in Jesus. We can approach God's word with confidence as the Holy Spirit works and strengthens faith in our hearts.

Faith comes from hearing the message,
and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
— Romans 10:17

3 | WE VALUE MENTORSHIP - it is such a treasure when women from different seasons of life cultivate relationships. This is why you will find blog posts at HHH written by wives, empty nesters, single women, and mothers. We have different insights and experiences but we are unified in
faith. We are not perfect but we point to the One who is - Jesus.

Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
— 1 Corinthians 11:1

4 | WE VALUE BROKENNESS - there's no fooling anybody. We all have weaknesses, sin, and fall short of perfection every day. Because of Jesus' perfect life in our place we don't have to walk in shame and guilt. When we avoid talking about the low valleys of life we may miss an opportunity to comfort one another and glorify our Lord.

Still don't believe brokenness is a blessing? Read the beatitudes in Matthew 5. We were broken and are made new in Jesus!

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings,
so also you share in our comfort.
— 2 Corinthians 1:3-7

5 | WE VALUE JOY - even though life on this side of heaven will be full of challenges we can still choose to rejoice because of the gift of salvation we have in Jesus. We want to celebrate life, stay humble like children, laugh, and not take ourselves so seriously that we miss fun!

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
— 1 Peter 1: 8-9

6 | WE VALUE TOGETHERNESS (on or offline!) - we are about bringing ladies of all stages together, linking arms, and creating a circle but always leaving room for more. It is important that we don't feel alone as women of faith. When we get together around God's word and pray for one another we build each other up in the peace that comes only from Jesus in this world.

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
— Hebrews 10:23-25
