Women Wrecked & Women Redeemed

This online Bible Study will begin on Monday, October 6th.

Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba and Mary... what do these five women have in common? A lot.

They left their homes,

they grieved the loss of family,

they had rough choices to make,

they stepped out in faith or were forced out,

their culture told them they amounted to nothing...

BUT to God they were precious and valuable! God created and used these women for a very specific purpose!

In Matthew 1 these women are listed in the genealogy of Jesus. That's right, God used foreigners... prostitutes... widows... a young humble girl to bring our Savior into the world! Not only to redeem us but to redeem them! Imagine that. Imagine being Mary holding the son that just came from your own body and call him Lord. God is the best author.

If we got to pick who our own ancestors were I'm sure we'd rather have grandparents of high importance and reputation. But God's thoughts are not our thoughts or his ways our ways (Isaiah 55:9). He doesn't work the way we do. And I'm so grateful for that.

Reading the lives of these real women and putting myself in their shoes, I can't help but know that God is for all people (1 Timothy 2:4).

I feel the love and plans God had for each of them and for me. Their courage has me enCOURAGED. Through their lives I see God's grace - his passion - and trust his purpose for me regardless of my past or present. With God we all have a path and future!

Starting on October 6th, every Monday I will share a bible study with you right here on the blog. It will include a bible study pdf that you can also print off if you'd rather work on the bible study away from the screen or along with a group of women at a group bible study.

During the rest of the weekdays you can find me at our private online bible study Facebook group where we dive deeper into God's word and talk about it. If you want to be a part of the bible study I highly recommend being a part of the Facebook group where we get to know you more and be mutually encouraged! The Facebook group is private so any information that you share will be seen only by the women allowed in the group.
