WELCOME! We are so
glad you are here!

Most women don’t have supportive Christian women in their lives mentoring them.

We spur women on with the Word of God so that we can approach the Bible with confidence, share Jesus with grace, and speak chatter that matters in a noisy world.

“Let us consider how we may spur one another on…” Hebrews 10:24

Only Children

Picture 11 I have three children ages 3, 2, and almost 1. Because they are so close in age, they need a lot of the same kind of attention at the same time, and this attention is in high demand all day long. Sometimes it can be a challenge to simultaneously meet their needs, especially when I am trying to juggle other tasks like dishes, laundry, talking to other moms, or babysitting additional children.

With multiple needy children in my care, sometimes I find that I have to leave one child crying or repeating “Mom? Mom? Mom? Mom?” for a minute so that I can attend fully to another one’s more pressing needs. Since it is impossible to give multiple children my full attention ALL AT ONCE, I beam my full love to one child at a time and hope that is enough to carry them through to the next time they need me. I have to consciously carve out dedicated alone time with each child just to ensure I help them each feel loved and special.

This wasn’t the case when I only had one child. When my daughter was a baby, before her siblings came along, she was my everything at every moment of the day. I rarely had to hold up a finger and say “hold on for just a minute” when she cried out for my attention. I always had room on my lap to snuggle her. I heard all of her complaints, fears, and joys and responded with my full care, concern, and attention.

You know what amazes me about God? His omnipresence. He’s EVERYWHERE. In church, at home, in my bathroom, and in my car. That means that no matter where I am, I can talk to Him, and He hears me. He has billions of children both on earth and in heaven and never once does he hold up a finger and say “just hold on a second” when I start talking to him. He gives me his full undivided attention while also giving all of his other children his full undivided attention. This is just amazing to me. God may have billions of children, but each and every one of those children is his “only child” when they need Him.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him." 1 John 5:14-15

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
