Hope & Fire by Amanda Rose
Hope & Fire has been my anthem song this year. I will let the lyrics speak for themselves.
HOPE & FIRE // Music and Lyrics by Amanda Rose
I rise and whitewash the worn, the tired, the curves. I fall. The storybook torn, the love, the hurts.
Where is the fire? Where is the fire? All within me is cold. All within me is cold.
I fight and struggle through the storm, the smoke, the clouds. I try but my thoughts all swarm. My fears. My doubts.
Where is the fire? Where is the fire? When all within me is cold. All within me is cold.
I thaw. Your grace melts my heart. I'm weak. You are strong. I rise and face the dawn. I'm new. The old has gone.
You are the fire. Even when I don't feel it. You are the fire. To give love where it's needed. You are the fire. Light is there to guide me. You are the fire. Your Spirit lives inside me.
You are in me! I am not alone. You are in me! I can face it all.
I rise and face the dawn. I'm new. The old has gone.

It is such a privilege to sing with Joey Schumann & The Lutheran Ceili Orchestra. We play music for worship, retreats, events, and sometimes even jam just for fun. Joey played on the spot without ever hearing Hope & Fire and the rest of the crew just played through it once before. Hope & Fire just rolled. I love these people, their ability to improvise with ease, and their initiative to never play something the same twice! More information about The Lutheran Ceili Orchestra can be found at joeyschumann.com
Further, I want to thank Karla Adolphe my singer/songwriter mentor for her insight and encouragement. We have shared late night chats about ideas, songs, and getting over my insecurities to share more of my music with you to God's glory. She is my favorite indie soul Christian artist and I'm so humbled that we get to call our late chats work. Please check her music out. She has encouraged me in so many ways from faith to music to motherhood and balancing (or trying anyhow) it all.
I am finding my creative niche and look forward to sharing TWO more original songs with you at Out of the Nest 2016!
