WELCOME! We are so
glad you are here!

Most women don’t have supportive Christian women in their lives mentoring them.

We spur women on with the Word of God so that we can approach the Bible with confidence, share Jesus with grace, and speak chatter that matters in a noisy world.

“Let us consider how we may spur one another on…” Hebrews 10:24

Feed for Thought

Hey, Hens! It's been a little quiet around here lately! Let's get clucking! Have any opinions or insight into the articles below? Check them out and weigh in! homeward_bound_rev3

D.I.-Why?: Emily Matchar on the Allure of the “New Domesticity”

Why are Pinterest and Etsy so popular? Why does it seem like every woman you meet on the internet is using terms like “find,” “curate,” “thrift,” “DIY,” “Handmade,” “artisan,” and “vintage” while canning, knitting, sewing, crafting, gardening, and raising backyard chickens? Give the article a read and then let us know what you think. Are you a fan of the “New Domesticity” movement? What are we to make of this topic from a Christian perspective?

Parental Leave

For working mamas with children: how do you feel about the amount of maternity leave you received?

One Decision

A hard to watch PSA, but an important reminder as the days get hotter: don’t leave your kiddos in the car when it is warm outside, even for a few minutes. The majority of children who die of heat exhaustion in cars are actually left there accidentally. The parent is so busy or distracted that he or she believes the child was already dropped off at day care, for instance, or doesn’t notice that one sleeping child didn’t come inside with his siblings after arriving home. I like to do a quick little glance into the back seat every time I get out of the car as a matter of habit even if I’m 100% positive I am alone in the car. :)

Drowning Doesn't Look Like Drowning

While we're on the topic of saving lives in the summer, if you've never read the above article, do so. You might just save a life!

Why Have Babies?

This is an interesting perspective on family planning. What do you think? What does the Bible say about having (or choosing not to have) babies?
