bold

I push the squeaky shopping cart up and down the aisles of Walmart as the boy buckled in belts out a song that carries all the way to the sporting goods department.

Little ones to Him belong, they are weak but HE IS strooooonnngg!!

People turn to look as they reach for that box of graham crackers or pull the gallon of milk from the cooler. Some stare and others smile our way. A few even whisper the words along with him.

YESSS! Jesus loves meeee! The Bible tells me soooo!

I look down at my little boy and wish a thousand wishes in this moment that he would always cling to the Truth of Jesus. I pray that he would forever share his faith so willingly, so boldly, so freely.....even if it's scary and unpopular and hard.

A tear spills over, too, because I'm a bit of a crier when it comes to my kiddo and Jesus. And because I know I've failed over and over to do the thing I prayed about just seconds ago.

Lord, make me bold like my two year old.

Sing to the Lord, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.
Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
